		<description>&lt;p&gt;I read the same IRC chat, and I&#039;m slightly concerned that people didn&#039;t know that &#039;^&#039; and &#039;%&#039; already have meanings within the language.  This doesn&#039;t bode well.  I&#039;ve been happily using PHP since the days of 3, but I&#039;m getting increasingly concerned by the direction of the language being determined by people such as those in the IRC chat.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So I agree, time to move on.  Thing is, where to?&lt;/p&gt;
